The Darkness of Mere Being

Sam and Scott are back with Chapter 9 "The Darkness of Mere Being."  Dr. Manhattan transports Laurie with him to his crystal palace on Mars. In order for her to breathe, he creates a breathing cloud that surrounds her.  The major theme is this chapter is firstly the mundaneness of human culture and it then changes to the miraculousness of all humans being created. There is also a little bit of childhood frustration that may lead to Laurie's current ideals.
