Notes

Sublime Frequencies co-founder Hisham Mayet joins the podcast to talk about his new(ish) record label, Bulbous Monacle, which focuses on "reissues dealing with the San Francisco Bay Area musical scene that was extant from the mid '80s to the late '90s," with a particular focus on Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 and associated acts.

We talk about 1990s San Francisco and the scene around TFUL 282, Caroliner, Nuf Sed, and Bananafish; the idea of Bay Area/West Coast regionalism; and some connections between this scene/era and what Hisham, Alan Bishop, and company have gone on to do with Sublime Frequencies.
