This week I spoke with Gary Simonds. Gary Simonds is a brain surgeon who has cared for tens of thousands of critically ill patients. He started his career in the Army at Walter Reed and was the Chief of Neurosurgery at a University Hospital for many years. He now teaches a number of subjects to undergraduates and medical students at Virginia Tech. He has written three non-fiction books on burnout and wellness and has recently published a medical/psychological thriller with a paranormal twist entitled, Death's Pale Flag.
