Notes

God's love extends to the entire world through Christ's atoning work. The Bible demonstrates this universal salvation plan, exemplified by John 3:16-18 and 1 John 2:2. Total depravity highlights humanity's need for God's intervention, which comes through the Holy Spirit's work and the word of Christ. Forgiveness is available to all through Jesus' sacrifice, yet personal acceptance is necessary. Limited atonement is not about God's scope but about individuals' response. The limitation lies in rejection of the message. The messenger's role is to proclaim, regardless of response. Faith is the only requirement for salvation, demonstrated by the Canaanite woman and the Roman Centurion. Tradition can restrict understanding, but God initiates salvation for all.

John 3:16 (ESV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
